Antibiotic Study

This study is investigating a new antibiotic medicine. Currently, most bacterial infections are treated with antibiotics. However, not all bacteria can be killed by all antibiotics and there are an increasing number of bacteria which are resistant to many types of antibiotics. This medicine is being developed as another antibiotic option which can taken as a tablet or capsule avoiding the need for hospitalisation to administer intravenous treatment.

For this trial we need the help of male participants, or female participants who are not able to bear children, aged from 18 to 55 (inclusive) who are in good health and do not smoke or have a history of alcohol abuse or drug addiction. This trial, which is only being conducted at Scientia in Randwick, will enrol up to 72 volunteers with additional groups added for a further 16 volunteers if required.
