Fibrosis study

This study aims to test a type of medication to see if it can protect major organs from damage from tissue scarring (fibrosis). Tissue fibrosis is an over production of destructive scar tissue. It replaces normal tissue with scar tissue and blocks cells from obtaining the blood supply and oxygen they need to live. It may cause a decrease in function of the organ, and eventually failure of the organ to work. Fibrosis can occur in different organs such as the skin, lungs, liver, kidney or heart.

This study is currently not recruiting further participants.
