We are conducting a study on an Oral Drug for Lassa Fever.

Lassa Virus (LASV) infection causes Lassa Fever (LF) which is endemic throughout West Africa infecting 100,000-300,000 people each year and resulting in approximately 5,000 deaths a year.

Also known as Lassa hemorrhagic fever, Lassa fever is a type of viral hemorrhagic, although many of those infected by the virus do not develop symptoms - when symptoms do occur they typically include fever, weakness, headaches, vomiting, and muscle pains.

To be eligible for this study, you must fit the following criteria:

  • Be a Healthy male or female
  • Aged between 18 and 65 years of age
  • Have a BMI ≥18.0 and ≤32.0 kg/m2
  • Body weight of least 45kg

This study requires a 16 nights / 17 days stay in our facility, with 1 follow-up visit.

We are located in Randwick, near numerous bus stops and adjacent to the last light rail stop.

Our facility is first-class, with showers, a well-equipped recreation room, numerous TV screens, games consoles, books, board games and a quiet room with desktop computers.

All meals are included in your stay, including vegetarian options and there is free WiFi to keep you connected and even views of the ocean down at Coogee Beach…and you are sure to meet new people and make new friends!
